With some pages we have, the source code gets mangled in the source preview mode. Upon loading a page to edit, the default is preview mode and when clicking on "Source" the code gets rewritten. Generally, paragraph tags are added around code snippits. We realize that there may be limitations based on the external library editor, but would there be a way to either make the "Source" button sticky or if not, could there be a tag <plit> </plit> (pages literal) that could preserve the code inside from external editor modification? Or maybe a checkbox: Only edit in "Source" mode?

This is unfortunatley a limitation of the editors used. We do however have the option to just have a plain textbox and no editor, which sounds like it may be the best solution for you if you are adding source code (thats how we use it).
Defaulting the source im not even sure if its possible (definatley not in at least 2 of the editor options) and if it was it would still mangle to content as it would load first, then switch to code view which is the same problem.
