Hello Lance,

The profile picture is picked up from gravatar.com. Register there and add a profile picture,it will be picked up by loads of sites based on your email address.

I will add some description to the profile page to explain this in the next version.

To use gravatar though you need an account at wordpress.com....  will there be a way to implement a profile pic thats local?  as people may not want to have to go register elsewhere just to put their pic or logo on.....

There might be added an option to select from a list of predefined pics, or a link to a file.

But adding in client side uploads is potencially a security risk and would need alot of time invested to make sure its safe.

good point....   maybe add some other method .....  one to work on that doesn`t require you to get a wordpress account first.......    eg file url to link too...   users then can put a link of eg their facebook pic or a picture hosted on their own space......

Just so you know this can be done now with a custom profile field.

That works...    very quick work there Lee...  thanks...

One thing that the writing shows the html code in the description below :-

Your avatar is pulled from your <a href="gravatar.com" target="_blank">gravatar.com</a> account,

this is looking good and needed I would have thought by many....    top work

Custom Avatars with own URL´s from Users are bad. Forum would be slow over the time, instead of deleted Pictures or other things. Maybe you can add Profile Picture Upload to Amazon S3 or something else. This will not impact WHMCS Security and is an much better solution.
